Melbourne Cup Celebration

Mentholatum celebrated Melbourne Cup in true Melbournian spirit with some champagne (non-alcoholic of course) and our fancy hats.
In order to truly celebrate the end of our Ban it For Berry Street campaign, we raised some last final funds to donate towards Berry Street.
Mentholatum staff were allowed to pay $2 per horse in a horse sweep and half of the winnings were donated to Berry Street to help those less fortunate.
We also held a“fancy hat”competition, awarding the employee with the best fancy hat a prize, encouraging others to express their individuality through creating and showcasing their own personal hat.
Coming together to celebrate Melbourne Cup was a great way for all staff to collaborate with one another, especially those that do not get to work directly with each other every day.
Many appreciated the opportunity to celebrate the Melbourne Cup together, as well as having the opportunity to converse with those in other departments. It was also great having staff wear different hats and it highlighted the inclusivity present at Mentholatum.
