About
International Women’s Day (IWD) is a global day for celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women, in all their diversities. Worldwide, many individuals and organisations come together to commemorate the successes of women and this year, we will be doing the same after our inaugural event last year! We celebrate those who came before us, those who stand beside us now, and those who will come after.
At Mentholatum, we are committed to celebrating the achievements of women an d our women employees. This year we commemorated International Women’s Day by hosting a guest speaker session for our team where we were fortunate enough to welcome Dr. Afreen Huq to our headquarters.
Dr. Afreen Huq is the Associate Professor of Entrepreneurship and Head of Department, Management and Organisations in the School of Management at RMIT University. Dr. Huq reflected on her career journey as a woman academic in Australia and provided critical insights geared towards reducing the gender gap and promoting inclusion of women in the workplace.
