About
Clean Up Australia inspires and empowers communities to clean up, fix up and conserve the environment and imbibe sustainable living amongst all. At Mentholatum, our vision is to “Make people’s lives Healthier and Happier” in all ways possible. We believe that conserving our environment today will help support our tomorrow, in a healthy and happy way.
Together, we aim to motivate, STEP UP and support solutions which move us towards a circular economy. The core concept of the circular economy: keeping valuable resources circulating and out of landfill. We are an active part of this environmental movement and aspire to make a difference.
What is Clean Up Australia?
What started over 30 years ago, by an “average Australian”, Ian Kiernan, who had a simple idea to make a difference in his own backyard has now grown to the Nation’s largest community based Environmental event. Over that time, Clean Up Australia has evolved to provide practical solutions to help all Australians live more sustainably every day of the year, and emerged as one of the country’s most recognised, credible, and trusted environmental
charities.
Mentholatum STEPS UP with Clean Up Australia
Today, their focus and ours at Mentholatum, is as much on preventing rubbish entering our environment as it is removing what has already accumulated. As Australia’s waste challenges continue to grow, we all need to Step Up and support solutions which move us towards a circular economy – where everything is a resource, and there is no such thing as waste.
Did you know that more than 20 million Australians have participated in Clean Up Australia activities and events over the past three decades? 1 The Mentholatum community is proud to be a part of this journey of taking Australia towards sustainability.
Step up with us
Clean Up Australia’s vision of a “circular economy” has ignited an enthusiasm and desire among the Mentholatum community to get involved and make a difference. We have mobilised into action and stepped up to clean waterways and parks over the past few years.
- Could you Step Up by saying no to straws?
- Taking your empty bottles and cans to a Container Refund Scheme?
- To bringing your own water bottle to work?
- To composting?
- To buying recycled, to choosing not to buy fast fashion, rinsing your recyclables,
- or refusing to purchase fruit and vegetables pre-wrapped in plastic?1
There are so many ways to take that first small step. Come, STEP UP with us.
